Finding the optimal construction:

The cutting head design is individually optimized with special computer programms. Thereby the heads reach maximum cutting performance under tough conditions.

The calculation includes the following dates among others:

• Machine data
• Mineal data
• Cutting track data
• Cuttting head diameter
• Cutting depth
• Tunnelling operations

The outline of the cuttings heads, the cutting tracks and the optimal positions of the pick blocks are calculated by KRUMMENAUER software. The cutting tracks are optimized according to the cutting performance of each pick. To prevent man and machine from damage, the cutting heads are designed for maximum cutting performance with low vibration creation. The optimal position of the pick blocks is evaluated, taking the mineral outbreaks and the cycloid track of each pick into acccount. The KRUMMENAUER engineers fit each cutting head optimally to the operational conditions to achieve high productivity and process stability.
