Finding the optimal construction:

KRUMMENAUER shearer drums reach maximum productivity in difficult conditions. Individually designed constructions for each application are the key to this. A specially developed computer programm supports our skilled engineers in finding the optimal design solution.

The calculation includes the following dates among others:

• Machine data
• Longwall- and mineral data
• Cutting track data
• Drum diameter
• Cutting depth
• Working method

KRUMMENAUER engineers optimize the cutting performance with specially developed computer programms. The cutting tracks and the resulting mineral breaking pattern are simulated to find the optimal design. KRUMMENAUER also takes into account the drum loading behaviour. To prevent machine damages and increase durability, all drums are tested for smooth run. KRUMMENAUER engineers always find the optimal construction to increase the output of our customers.
