EB-water spray system

The EB-water spray system is an advancement of the conventional cutting track water spray system. The nozzle sits well-protected in a chamber on the back of the pick block. According to the function of a jet pump, the EB-system absorbs the dusty air arround the pick block. Thereby you get an active dust absorption. Further the full water spray is expanded with air. So you get a water-air spray with a very fine dropplet spectrum. That addionally ensures high efficient dust absorption combined with high effective explosion prevention.

The test results had been confirmed by underground measurements. Pick blocks with EB-water spray system are available for all shearer drums and cutting heads.
